- ADSL VPN Router Recommendation?
- Posted by BJH on July 30th, 2007
Hi
I've used 3COM, Draytek 2900 and a Netgear DGFV338 routers, with both the
Draytek and the Netgear I have successfully set up a VPN connection.
I found the Draytek to be relatively simple to set up as a VPN server, but
the Netgear was, for me, a real pain. Draytek suppport was non-existent
(other than the forum) where Netgear was absolutely first class, but then I
needed it!
I also consider the Netgear is a better manufactured product.
I am interested in other peoples' recommendations for a good quality
manufactured ADSL VPN firewall router for connection to a BT service?

Well, the Netgear I bought was c**p, their support nonexistent, so I just
returned it to the seller !
Now I am on second Draytek (upgraded to VoIP one), never had any problems !
I also have good experience with Zyxel 2602HWL installed for family member,
the software isn't exactly intuitive,
it gets good speeds (ADSL2+), but the WiFi isn't as good as Draytek.

Martin
