Does BTYahoo have download caps and no binary news server? I've been told
this but it was some dumb sounding person at a bt call center who did not
really know i think.

BT Broadband has download guidlines/caps (not enforced though) and no news
server
You may want to read http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ about other ADSL ISP's and
try a dial-up account on BTO to check it carries the newsgroups you want and
how complete they are..

thanks for that. I have just phoned BTY and they tell me there is a d/l
cap of 1Gb a day?? now im confused. anyone with them that can say either
way as BTY cust services are not that technical

BT Broadband have a 1GB limit (not currently enforced)
BT Yahoo/Openworld don't have such a limit.
