BULLDOG / TISCALI / et al

Forget being put on hold for ages and made to suffer the telephone bil
!!!

There really is only one sensible way to deal with the endemic proble
of dreadful service and that's the small claims court.

1. Check the Terms & Conditions of contract
2. Has the agreement been breached explicitly or impliedly?
3. Has money been taken from a credit card or bank account wrongly?
4. Send 7 day letter to Registered Office of offending party
5. If no / unsatisfacory response, issue summons in county court (ca
be done online - cost around £30 but should get issue fee back if yo
win)

We got £140 back from Bulldog recently - they took £71 from our credi
card account but never provided any service or product.

Tiscali did actually respond to the 7 day letter and promtly refunde
the money they had taken from our cc account. (Although, don't tak
that as any sort of compliment or endorsement of Tiscali)

I'd like to see how these companies reacted if they started receivin
hundreds of County Court summonses per week. Just about the worst tha
that can happen with this action is that you lose your court issue fee

Registered offices of UK companies (if not stated in Terms & Condition
or on website) can be found at www.companieshouse.gov.u
