Bulldog to trial 8Mbps ADSL on its LLU network
Posted by Sunil Sood on November 25th, 2003

Bulldog, the UK's high-speed broadband specialist, today announced the
technical trial of a new 8 Mbps ADSL service. Bulldog's design, development
and engineering teams will collectively monitor connection stability and
data throughput performance on selected trial service lines. The tests will
also assess current DSL broadband hardware and PC systems capability for
handling the ultra high-speed service.

The 8 Mbps trial is scheduled to run for the next few months and, given good
technical results, will be made commercially available on the Bulldog core
Central London network in early 2004. The service will offer major benefits
to larger SMEs and corporate organisations, providing higher bandwidths to
suit their requirements.
