- Bulldog TV advertising
- Posted by londoncityslicker on April 12th, 2005
Looks like Bulldog are taking the bull (sorry about the pun) by the horns
and are splashing out on TV advertising.
Did anyone watch the advert breaks during Property Ladder on Channel 4 on
Tuesday.
Wonder what a bit of advertising will do to the service.

Last time they had an Advertising push it crippled their Customer
Service staff for over a month as they simply didn't haven enough people
to cope. Hopefully they have learnt their lesson and are better prepared
for a large influx of sign ups.

Being an ex Cable & Wireless employee from the days they bought the cable
companies and merged them together, C&W had a massive advertising
campaign on TV, billboards and the press. They f*cked up bigtime as they
weren't prepared, not enough staff to handle calls (telesales, customer
service, technical services) and most importantly not enough capacity at
their exchanges to complete the install.
Most of the problems customers had were that the service requested didn't
work for weeks if not months and the twats within C&W didn't know how to
solve the issues.
This of course was then sold to NTL who took on the problems and slowed
down advertising until issues were resolved.
The above was for Telephone and Cable TV services which is different to
that of an ADSL service. My advice is if C&W are doing mass advertising
be cautious and don't expect 100% quality service in an instant and also
getting through to Customer Service may take you +45mins.

They're also suddenly doing a lot of Billboard advertising in areas
where they've unbundled or are currently doing so
