Central Point

I wonder if anybody has experiance of Central Point
http://www.cpbb.co.uk ?

I've looked back through Google but not too much. I received a call back
today as promised to check if there would be any problem with providing
BB on my exchange - the lady I spoke to said it wasn't listed but she
would speak to Telefonica about it.

I nee from other posts they use the Datastream product and I was
thinking of their 1MB service - if I was the only user on our excahange
would it be like have a 1:1 contention ?

ANy info appreciated.

Thanks - was wandering that way. I'm not a gamer so that may not be too
muc of an issue but I'm not sure about this German IP stuff !

Nildram/Zen were my two original choices but the pricing on CPBB makes
them worth considering I thought.

I tried to get the 2MB svc, but they said they needed a minimum of 4 people
on my exchange to justify it.

I cancelled & went with Fast24 & am up and running now (slightly more
expensive albeit)

Still waiting for Central Point to refund my advance activation fee.......

I spoke to them yesterday and they came back to say that Telefonica say
I can have up to 1MB on my exchange.

Looking at ADSLGuide it seem Hi-Velocity maybe worth looking at. I do
have a Demon SDU and one option is to stay with them but they only over
512 unless you srt tio pay silly money. I don't need a Doamin or mail as
I take care of these away from my ISP for connectivity.

I'm not on them yet, but I have not heard any horror stories, just the usual
long activation times, 20 working days.

I have been on their 2mb service for a few days now and I still can't
stop grinning!
The speed is awesome!
The staff (yes real people no fucking machines) are very friendly AND
know what they are talking about.
I am so happy to be away from BT, and saving a packet too.
Activation took just over 2 weeks, there is no migration yet.

Go for it

Regards,

Ed
