- Connection Problems

Hi,
I've been successfully using BT OpenWorld for 10 months but have recently
developed a problem connecting:
Upon start-up (Win2k) the BT OpenWorld desktop icon gives connection errors
and fails to connect - even on redial. If I then open IE and select the
option to connect from there, there is no problem.
I've re-installed Windows, setting up OpenWorld from fresh and get exactly
the same problem - hence I'm discounting software problems. Has anyone
experienced similar problems and if so is it likely to be the Intel modem,
or a possible problem with the line?
Incidentally, once connected, if I make a call on my DECT phone the
connection is dropped (I can reconnect whilst still on the phone though).
