- Connection providers
- Posted by The Guard on December 8th, 2003
This has probably been asked many times in the past so please accept
apologies.
Does anyone have the name of a connection provider that gives JUST access?
No email.
No web site.
No text messaging.
No bells.
No whistles.
Just an old fashioned access provider.
Thanks.

Well any ISP can be used as you describe but have a look at Bulldog
(http://www.bulldogdsl.com/) - everything you mention is *not provided* as
standard by them - you would have to either buy a add on package or use a
3rd party supplier if you wanted those services with a Bulldog connection..
If you do decide to use Bulldog would you mind quoting my referral code when
signing up - just quote bdol 87431 when signing up online or by telephone.
Just occured to me BT Broadband (http://www.bt.com/btbroadband/) offer the
same sort of thing as well...
Regards
Sunil

assuming you mean at reasonable speed, then if you want no (or rather LOW
traffic) the monthly costs start from a tenner +VAT (Metronet's PayGo 500
which has been posted about quite recently with positive comments) or if
you do want plenty of data transfer, but not for swapping files on some
peer-to-peer facility, or using newsgroups for binaries, then there is
PlusNet at 18.99 a month (so no worry that sometimes it'd cost more).
