- Posted by oliver.wk@gmail.com on October 31st, 2005
Im having problems with the firmware with my DG834GT. Before I upgraded
the firmware, everything worked fine and i know that i shouldnt have
bothered now
. The internet appears to be connected, and the tests
work fine but when i try to access the internet from my browser or
anything other application that needs to use the internet, it wont let
me. For example it will say something like 'www.google.com cannot be
found.' I wondered if anyone could help me with this problem.

It must be pretty bad if it's posting all your messages four times!

Possibly DNS forwarding on the router is broken? Set your ISP's DNS
server addresses manually in your network interface and see if that
fixes. You might want to try a full factory reset on the router and re-
configure it to see if that fixes it.

Revert back to the old firmware, but I wonder what firmware did you have
right now? My DG834GT is running just fine using the beta/non-netgear
released 1.01.30.
