- Does Speedtouch 510 v4 do SNMP?

Hi all.
Does anyone know for sure whether the speedtouch 510 v4 4 port DSL
router provides an snmp daemon on board for remote querying?
I"m all set to buy one, but want to be able to pull the stats from it,
and I can't find anything definitive. The CLI manual just lists an snmp
config file, but nothing more is documented. I've found a couple of
posts around the world, but it's inconclusive. Some say it does, some say
it doesn't, but none of them provide any proof...
Does anyone know?
Failing that... What's the next best router to get?
(Needs... 4 port, firewall, CLI, SNMP, UK with Nildram).

I beg to differ, my Speedtouch 510v4 does support SNMP.
In the CLI interface type snmp
You have 5 options,
GET, Walk, GetNext, List, Config
config a RO community to allow an external agent poll the device - i
is not possible to specify a source address here, so in theory anyon
who can get to port UDP/161 can poll your device - so I suggest yo
don't NAT it..
Strangley, it is not possible to walk, get, getnext (which is what
walk is anyway) from the CLIwithout specifying a RW community as well
That makes security an even worse nightmare though.
It also only seems to support SNMP V1, not 2c
It also does not send traps, just answers polls.
I have successfully set up MRTG to poll my speedtouch.
