BSNL Dataone connection with Netgear DG834GT

Basic Settings:
- Does your internet connection require a login?: Yes
- Encapsulation: PPPoE
- Login: username@dataone (not username or username@dataone.in)
- Password: <password>
- Service Name: Leave blank
- Idle timeout: 0

- Internet IP Address: Get dynamically
- Domain Name Server: Get automatically
- NAT: Enable

ADSL Settings:
- Multiplexing Method: LLC-BASED
- VPI: 0
- VCI: 35 (*note*: by default this is set to 38)

38 is typical for the UK, but perhaps not India.

I've recently come across a couple of Netgear routers in the UK which had
a default setting of 35, not 38. One was a wireless model, the other not.
