Can anyone explain the VoIP FWD! service they provide.

Is it just a DNS service to allow SIP phones to contact third parties
without knowing their IP address or is more like Skype and thus relies
on their servers for the communication?

Thanks

In very very simple terms yes, the call is established via their servers, but in
most cases the 'media' i.e. your voice goes direct between the two phones.
