ISP Recommendations
Posted by Phasmatis on March 22nd, 2007

Hi All,

I have been a customer of Biscit since it launched, unfortunately now Biscit
has demised I need a new ISP as quickly as possible.

All I need is a 2mb+ small office connection with a low contention ratio or
equivalent, I have 4 pc's connected 3 with Linux and & 1 with windows xp. My
usage is approx 3Gb per month.

I don't need any freebies except 1 static ip address.

Any suggestions of a suitable isp?

Dave

Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. We've got three of their
lines at work, all of our staff use
them at home and we use them for all of our clients. Easy to deal with,
technically aware and good
support - ie they all know what they are talking about and you can ask for
them by name.

products for your kind of usage. Zen 8000 active would suit.

entranet reseller, see http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings.php for user

them (i tried).

excellent service for the price.

I went with http://www.ukfsn.org/home/internet/ because they offer a
free usenet feed (don`t know if this includes binaries, I only use it
for text).

Bye for now.

The text only news service is provided by entanet and as far as I know is
available to all entanet (via reseller) customers.

Well, as far as I could see Ukfsn were the only ones advertising the
fact (unless I missed something) so they got my custom.
Bye for now.
