Are there a lot of Broadband offers cos it's almost the end of the tax year?
I was wondering if that might have anything to do with thing?
Maybe companies like taktalk doing annual reports and doing these £14.99
offer for 1 mb/s because they need to should big customer numbers, etc
before their company year end?

No LLU is coming and with it SDSL at even cheaper rates
than ADSL for those companies that know how to do it
cheaper than ADSL.
My guess is they are trying string up everyone on the
loser's options to avoid losing customers.
Many countries already now have now SDSL cheaper
than ADSL and at 20Mbit to 100Mbit rates.

Any info on the LLU role out? Moving soon, so looking for Broadband servies.
Currently on BTB 1 Meg, would love an LLU service so the line can run at its
max real rate, not the silly restrictions BT place on it.

The 3 big LLU operators are Bulldog, UKOnline and HomeChoice.
UKOnline are gradually rolling out to the following exchanges:

Bulldog are currently in these areas:
http://www.bulldogbroadband.com/support/locations.asp but are planning to be
in 400 exchanges later this year.
HomeChoice are currently mainly in the London area:
http://www.homechoice.co.uk/pcode/postcode.checker but have their own plans
to expand as well
BT Wholesale are also running two trials this year - one for ADSL upto 8MB
and one for ADSL2+ (running upto 18MB)
See

for some more details - so you won't necessarily need a LLU service to get
faster speeds.

Arh well, no LLU in my current area, nor in my future town. Thats what you
get for living in the green parts of the UK.
