It should have been ipconfig /all>c:\txt.txt with space after ipconfig.
I've reread all your posts, I think, and it seems you're attempting to
connect only via wieless? I get your error message if I try to open my
other connection and it's not switched on. Your wireless connection could
be dodgy. Can you use cable for the moment? If so, and it doesn't work,
what are the current symptoms - they seem to be variable. Can you still
ping reliabley (that doesn't look right) both ways? If not, can you from
the router?

I concur. This needs to be hard wired before we can prove anything
further and go into the nitty gritty.

can ping the router from the laptop. But I can't ping the desktop from the
laptop. I get a message "Request timed out"
I can ping the laptop from the desktop. Also I can ping the router from the
desktop
The one thing I can't do is ping the PCs from the router. I do not know how
to do this

That certainly sounds like the router. I assume you've tried switching it
off/on as they can get in a knot, or resetting it?
Pinging from router probably varies with type. My Linksys has an
administration/diagnostics page for pings. Have a root round.
How do you ping the PC? By IP address? Is it set to use DHCP? Might the
IP have changed? Have you tried static? Sorry if that's so obvious, but
it's not been mentioned.
