I have a Linksys BEFRS41 router that I use with a Blueyonder Cable modem at
the moment. If I was to switch to ADSL how would I continue to network the
Internet Connection, could I use an ADSL Ethernet modem and plug this into
the router?

TIA

Alex

Yes, but most ADSL ethernet modems that do PPPoA have a built-in
router, so you wouldn't really see much benefit from keeping your
Linksys (I take it it is, in fact, the BEFSR41 mentioned at
<http://tinyurl.com/4nmw>). Better to sell it; buy a 4-port switch or
hub if necessary.

In fact I have some nice 4-port 3Com "SureConnect" ADSL routers coming
in this evening; they're an older model, but have all the basic NAT
functionality you'll need - the same as your Linksys, I'd imagine.
Email me if you're interested & I'll let you know when I've tested
them - I'll be looking for about £35.
