Newbie Question: Is AOL a VPN?

Newbie Question: Is AOL a VPN?: Posted by Tricky Dicky on January 10th, 2004; I am trying to set up a VPN on a machine which has AOL Broadband

I have been told this is not possible because AOL is already a VPN and uses
network address translation (NAT)

Can anyone provide anymore info on this?
