- Northern Ireland to get 100% "Broadband Coverage"
- Posted by Sunil Sood on February 6th, 2004
BT has been chosen (out of 27 companies) as the preferred supplier to
provide 100% "broadband coverage", bu the Department of Enterprise, Trade
and Investment in Northern Ireland.
It has to provide 100% coverage by the end of 2005.
100% "broadband coverage" means that as well as enabling every exchange in
NI, it will have to find alternative solutions (wireless/mesh
radio/satellite) for the reminder as well.
A final decision is expected at the end of the month.
