NTL will offer a range of premium broadband content, including music, games and
education, for a fixed monthly fee.

Launching on 3 December, the Broadband Plus service will cost £3.99 a month and
offer unlimited access to a 15 partner sites, many of which would otherwise
require a subscription.

New and existing customers will receive the service free of charge until 1 March
2004. NTL's maximum download limit of 1Gb a day will still apply and the service
is only available to NTL broadband customers.

Among the 15 content providers in the £3.99 package are Encyclopaedia
Britannica, which otherwise costs £4.99 a month, music site Vidzone, usually
£4.99 a month and games site Freeloader, which usually costs £7.99 a month. NTL
plans to add further partners.

Other content not openly available on the web includes a Tweenies broadband
site, Music Choice streaming radio, MTV Live, Pureworldcup and Espresso, an
interactive education site only previously available to schools.

NTL Home managing director Aizad Hussain said most broadband content is too
expensive. "There is no single proposition at the right price. With Broadband
Plus we're changing that," he said.

According to its own figures, NTL is the biggest broadband ISP in the UK with a
33.2 per cent market share at the end of September 2003.
