- Posted by naza on June 14th, 2008
I am sure many people here use Firefox and Firefox 3 is coming out
soon. The people at Firefox are trying to break the Number of
Downloads in 24hr's record. Help them out and Pledge that you will,
the link for the site:

Also use some of their materials for your signature, if you cant be
bothered to create the BBcodes, they are at this page at the bottom:

Will,
a. Linux repositories make an effort to make sure the package is there
on the correct day,and if so;
b. Will these downloads be included in the statistics, seen as Mozilla
won't have much to do with them?

Would not think so, the repositories store it on their it on their own
servers, and it not really likely that they will. Will try and find
out though

Just had a look, any method via updates or the repositories will not
be included, only direct downloads by users going on the webpage will
be included.
A "download" is the transmission of the entire, fully functioning
Firefox 3 -- not an update.
The repositories is looked upon as an update.
