OT: Why are some URLs 'diverted'?

This is an example of something that has often puzzled me: why
visiting one URL takes me to an apparently totally unrelated address.
For example http://www.firefoxtweaks.com/ takes me to
http://www.matt-darby.com/go.php?id=About

Perhaps he owns the other domain, and just redirects it to where he has
pages hosted - I do similar with...

www.phoenixbbs.co.uk
www.coreutilities.co.uk
www.unfaithfulbastard.co.uk
www.unfaithfulbitch.co.uk

....amongst others

I like the unfaithful domains colin.

I bought them while drunk one night, and the idea was to have them as a
name-and-shame, but after checking out the legal site c/o uk.legal it
might have landed me in a *lot* of doodoo if someone got assaulted etc
for appearing on the site.

I could be held personally liable, despite it not being me making the
posts - mainly because i`d be easier to find / sue :-/
