- OT Wi Fi access in the USA?
- Posted by Alan on July 28th, 2003
Ok, I know its a bit off topic, but I am hoping someone can point me in the
right direction.
Does anyone know if it is correct that the USA does not use 502.11b or g,
WiFi, but only use 802.11a?
Thanks

No.
Go to www.palm.com and follow the Wi-Fi links for their Tungsten-C 802.11b
device ;-)

Sorry to follow myself up - but there is a difference in US 802.11b & .11g
specs. The US is limited to channels 1-11. In Europe and other places we get
two extra channels (12 & 13). So same hardware, different variant software
but you should have full interoperability on channels 1-11.
