- OUCS VPN and BT Yahoo Broadband

Has anyone tried using Oxford University's (OUCS) VPN service (or any
other VPNs) with BT Yahoo broadband? I have, and it refuses to connect
with the server. Disabling the firewall on my wireless router doesn't
help, so it presumably must be something on the ISP side (?) Using BT
Openworld dial-up worked fine.

With dialup the computer has the external IP, with a router the
computer has an internal address and NAT is used.
Which router and what type of VPN may help people comment further.

I'm using the Cisco VPN Client, and can't even get as far as login with
the default UDP transport. Funnily enough, changing to the other
alternative -- IPSec over TCP -- allows me to login and the client
reports I'm connected. Sadly, it's no go on the browser after that.
This is with the computer connected directly to the router via ethernet
and even its IP address placed in the DMZ (theoretically bypassing both
the firewall and NAT?) Thanks to the first answer for helping me to
realise it isn't all firewall-related, but I think I've tried
everything possible now from my end, haven't I?

Also, forgot to say, the router is a Belkin 802.11g wireless router
with ADSL modem.
