Pipex Solo 1000 Lite - lower monthly tariffs + increased download cap
Posted by Shevek on November 26th, 2004

We not only have one piece of good news for Solo 1000 Lite
customers but two! Firstly, PIPEX has reduced your monthly
tariff for this service to £23.82 + VAT (£27.99) whilst
secondly, significantly increasing the download cap from 2
Gigabytes (2GB) to 8 GB. These enhancements give you better
value and create a more flexible connection. To put the four
fold increase in download capacity in context, the previous
limit would have allowed around 410 MP3 files to be downloaded
in a single month (based on a conservative average file size
of 5MB): the new level would now boost that figure to over a
1000 paving the way for greater freedom to download media
such music, film and graphics.

All existing Solo 1000 Lite customers need do nothing, as you
will receive these new benefits automatically. We hope you find
them useful.

If you currently use Solo 500 or a lower speed broadband
connection there has never been a better time to consider
regrading to a faster PIPEX broadband service. Simply visit
My PIPEX at http://www.mypipex.net/solo here you can conveniently
upgrade to the new enhanced Solo 1000 Lite or perhaps the
uncapped Solo 1000 online through the My Account Control Panel.
Customers who have been with PIPEX for over 12 months can regrade
absolutely free of charge. A one off regrade fee of £15 + VAT
(£17.63) will apply to customers of less than 12 months, however
there is now no requirement to extend your existing contract
period.

For all Solo 1000 service customers enjoying the full broadband
experience you will continue to receive the uncapped and unlimited
service at your current monthly tariffs. Should you choose to
downgrade to the new Solo 1000 Lite to take advantage of a reduced
monthly charge please follow the regrade process in My PIPEX,
designed to help you do this with minimum fuss. The same regrade
rules as above will apply.
