Plusnet ADSL Max

Just requested an upgrade to 8Mbps.

How long is it likely to take before Plusnet action my request?

TIA

Nick

We submit a batch order to BT every Friday morning, with that week's
requests. From there it takes a couple of days to complete. So by this
time next week you should be sorted.

When I upgraded to Max it was only a couple of days wait IIRC.

That was likely to be a manual order, which completes in 48 hours.
However there is a cost associated with these orders, and the time taken
to process them was unrealistic so we switched to the automated method.

I received the acknowledgement e-mail on the Friday after
the request was made, but the change didn't happen for
another 9 days, so maybe not all requests manage to get in
the Friday batch.

Indeed, but if it takes longer than that, shout up here and one of us

lol I have to admit thats a bit sour considering youre adding up to 6 days
to a customers order for no reason at all.

New provides are suppose to take 7-10 days & migrate ins take 3-10 days -
good luck with those 16 day provides :P

Forgot to mention - regrades are *suppose* to take 7-10 days

Why, it's free isn't it? The reason we submit them in batches is due to
the fact that we use BT's bulk upgrade tool as opposed to submitting
individual orders using their conventional provisioning systems.

How is this a 16 day provide? It isn't a provide anyway as the customer
already has ADSL and is just wanting regrading to IPStream Max. Provides
take 5 working days, regrades take 5 working days. A modify order that
can be used to migrate a customer in or change the speed or realm of a
circuit can be done in a day. We can upgrade a customer to max within 24
hours with manual intervention.

I wasn't complaining, just answering the OP's question. On
a relative's connection, like mine, the upgrade took place
on the Saturday/Sunday after the Friday batch was submitted,
so it should normally have been from 2 days up to 8 days,
depending on when the request was submitted.

In any case, many users don't see any improvement until the
IP Profile is updated, which doesn't seem to happen
automatically in a lot of cases - as with mine. Though I'm
still in the 10-day period, can someone advise whether it's
best to wait until a max stable rate is set before adjusting
the stuck profile, or would it re-adjust automatically
during the initial period?

JW wrote:
The IP profile should be set along with the max stable rate in the first
10 days of service. Some recommend a daily reboot to push things along.
It sometimes stickes on very good lines where you are close to the
exchange so if it doesn't update within 10 days then I'd suggest getting
in touch with us.
