talktalk broadband!

I've got talktalk broadband. both jacks are in splitter that is in
main wall telephone socket. The problem I have is that i need to
disconnect broadband to have a normal sound quality conversation on
telephone. Is this just my set up for some reason or does anyone else
experience it?

Sounds like you have a faulty filter. Try another one of the other
filters they have given. If they are, call Talk Talk and try and get
some new ones or if you can get hold of a microfilter that you know is
working. If you have tried all the filters and you still have the
problem it may possibly be a fault with line. If you are confident,
remove the bottom half of your master socket and plug the microfilter
in the test socket that is revealed. See if you have the problem
there, if you do and you know that the microfilter is definalty not
the problem, Ring TalkTalk and explain the problem and ask them to get
BT to repair it. Not sure about thier customer service but worth a
try.
I am assuming by Main wall socket you are reffering to the BT master
socket.

Your microfilter is faulty or not installed correctly, or you have not
filtered every telephone socket in your property.
