FYI, UK-Bug is now backup and running.

Plans are underway for migration to a new (dedicated) server, but this
will probably be done behind the scenes resulting in minimal downtime
in the future.

Thanks for your patience ..

Not at 16:55 UK time you're not. All I get is a message saying that you
might be back with in a week.

Hi Steve,

I guess your ISPs DNS servers have not yet updated. Looking at the
headers for the account you used to post this usenet message, it
appears that you ISP might be BTOpenworld, right ? If so - this would
be strange, as BTs DNSs seem to have now fully caught up with the
changes in propergation.

If you run 'nslookup www.uk-bug.net' from a Command Prompt, what
response to you get ?

Can you just give the new IP address of the server?

Its not working on my ISP yet either.

I get the below on nslookup:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: wfb.zoneedit.com
Addresses: 65.125.231.178, 216.98.141.250
Aliases: www.uk-bug.net

"Sluff" .. what you have defined for your DNS ? I noticed from when
you just typed "nslookup", it tried to work against a machine on your
LAN (or the machine you run the command on at least). Do you run a
DNS server ?

When you then correctly ran nslookup www.uk-bug.net you came back with
the correct IP - that *should* take you to the site.

Do you have other name resolution issues ?

Thanks Eric .. when I was with Virgin on dialup - I always noticed
that their DNSs were one of the first of UK ISPs to get updated.
Seems they are still pretty quick in that respect.

Again .. I think thats right.

What do you see as being the problem here Bob? Maybe I'm missing the
obvious here - so some insight would be most appriciated ;o)

Hi Sunil,

The account is virtual at the moment, thus the IP would be of no use
to anyone. A dedicated IP will come with the server change within a
week or so.

Freeserve ? What are Freeserves DNS servers ?

194.152.64.68
194.152.64.35
are the only ones I can find.

Havent got the foggiest how you got a mediaone.net IP in that list.
