- Vigor 2200USB router with T-Mobile 3G USB Modem ?

Has anyone successfully interfaced a Draytek Vigor 2200USB DSL router
with T-Mobile's 3G USB wireless modem? Draytek don't support this
modem anymore, and when I try to load the wireless USB modem's
firmware into the router (as you are supposed to do before using other
USB ADSL modems), it just won't recognise it.

I have a long since retired Draytek 2200USB router sitting idle in a
cupboard here which I used to use it with an Alcatel Speedtouch "frog"
modem.
The Draytek UK web site lists the following modems as being compatible
with that model.
"Alcatel Speedtouch USB
Fujitsu FDX-310
Intel Pro/3220
Westell Wirespeed 3R305
Intel Anypoint 3240
BT Voyager (Not Voyager100)
Speedtouch 330 (Red)
Speedtouch 330 (Silver)
Please note : Only the above ADSL modems are supported. You cannot
connect other models to the Vigor2200USB or any other USB devices (for
example Satellite services or USB cable modems)."
As far as I know, the T-Mobile 3G modem is actually a Huawei E220. It
would be great to give the 2200USB a new lease of life by connecting
it to a 3G modem but unfortunately I don't think there's much chance
of that.

Having waited a week to see if anyone else popped up and admitted
they'd actually achieved it, it seems you're right and I'll throw the
old router back up in the loft!
