- 1999 DELL Inspiron 3500 Handle New 20GB HD?

Was contemplating putting in a new hard drive (20GB) into my circa 1999 DELL
PII 233MHZ Inspiron 3500.
Question: Is there a way to be sure that my BIOS will recognize the large
drive? The current HD in it is a pooched 4.1GB. I would be purchasing it off
of one of the venfdors on ebay. Any advice appreciated.

I purchased June 2000 a Gericom Silver Seraph aka Dell 3500 aka Compal 30T5
It was with mobile Celeron 500, a mobile P3 with half the cache
and a 18 GB harddisk.
