- antenna switch on toshiba 1405?

Does the antenna switch on a Toshiba 1405-S151 work with just any old mini-PCI
WiFi card? Or does it work only with Toshiba's 'flavor' of a card?
The Dell 1300 card works great in this machine but the side antenna switch
doesn't appear to do anything.
