Most likely because there is a dedicated group for Apple notebooks. I
personally switched to an apple notebook after 15 years of using PC's and
being in the industry. Though I still using my PC desktop, I'm very happy
with my notebook. I doubt I'd ever go back to a PC notebook, unless there
was a pressing reason I had to. My notebook is for corporate use and my
desktop I use for CAD and gaming mainly.

Apple does seem to be quite popular in video production fields.

Then again, I have a "windows" laptop, that has never in the time I have
owned it had windows on.
It arrived with a dead hard drive, which got swapped, and linux put on it.

Myth.

People don't talk about Apple here because not as many people buy Apple
machines. Has nothing to do with reliability.
