- Apple macbook pro.
- Posted by Raphael Karwin-Krawczyk on November 22nd, 2006
Hi,
I'm interested in getting a macbook pro with intel core 2 duo. At the moment
they're around 2800 USD. Does anyone know a cheaper place then 2619 USD as
that's the cheapest that I found on price runner? Also, how easy is it to
install XP on it and what about the drivers for WiFi, MB, Tft etc? Does
anyone have any experience with Xp on apple? Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Raphael
Ps. Does Apple cut prices in US like most of the other companies before
Christmass?

If you are not intending to run MacOS, why on earth would you pay the
price premium for a Macintosh?

My nephew has a MacBook Pro, and everything works under XP. He usually
uses OS-X, because most of his work is using Final Cut Pro, but he has
some applications for which there is no OS-X equivalent.
Beware that the MacBook lacks a PC Card slot.

The reason why I'm considering getting the Mac is because I do quite a bit
of photo work and from what I heard it's better then PC. I thought about it
though and might just get the IBM T60p which is top of the line.. Too bad it
doesn't have the 17 inch screen

Where did you hear that about the Mac? Why is it you hear it was Photo
Shopped if the IBM-PC clone wasn't any good at it? Think of it this way,
Mac users have to brag about the Mac being good at something.
