Brightest Display
Posted by Michael Mc Grenaghan on November 24th, 2005

A few sales people have told me that the top brands all have different
types of displays. Some are brighter than others. What do you think is
the brightest display out there?

Thanks.

There are sunlight viewable LCD display with brightness in excess of
2000 nits (cd/m**2). Typical laptops and desktop LCD displays are 125
to 300 nits.

IBM was about the best I saw.
Didn't appear to be any gimmicks to it.
HP is the worst. I hope they improve.
