- Can u Store an OS in a Sandisk

Can you store an OS in a 2 gig sandisk, run its setup, and have it
abailable via usb-2 port even though your doing the whole thing
from Winxp ???

Well, you can easily make a thumb drive bootable (to DOS) with an HP
utility, and I've seen some work on making them bootable in Linux, but
WinDoze does too much reading/writing to it's system/boot partition to
make this feasable. Even if you work around the zeroth WinDoze
problem of "my boot device must be a hard disk" it ends up being
really slow, and wears out the flash drive in a hurry. [Flash drives
are only good for a certain number of write cycles.]
