Anyone here have any info on the Workslate? Maybe schematics or service
manuals? Information of developing software? The reference manual mentions a
Comm Port, which seems to be a separate box that added a parallel printer and
an RS-232 serial port. Was it ever made?

The company has been absorbed by Unisys, and the product line long discontinued. The Comm
Port and a Printer were made, but that's it. There was/is no way to develop additional
software for it; what you see is what you get.
My father worked for the company (Convergent Technologies) until shortly after it was
absorbed by Unisys; the WorkSlate was ahead of its time, but never became a success
because development went in a different direction.

Thanks. Back in 1985 or so, I was approached by someone who had plans to
develop software for it, but I never did hear from him about any SDK for it. It
could be that his plan was to add a socket to the spare ROM pads and make a
hatch in the back so users could access it. I take it his plans fell through.
