- CPU Heat for these processors
- Posted by John Shepardson on April 5th, 2004
If you had a choice of
Intel Celeron 1.7 through 2.6 GHZ/128 kc
or
Intel Pentium 4 1.7 through 2.4 GHZ/400 MHz FSB
or
Intel Pentium 4 2.5 through 2.8 GHZ/533 MHz FSB
Which would you choose if heat were a consideration?
They are all overkill for my application, so I guess it is just a choice
between Celeron and Pentium.

if I had a choise and need power I would choose this below:
I have got P4 3G. I try to overheat it, covering all ventilation holes and
starting power demanding application. Maximum temperature I was able to
achive was 66C. During ordinary job it it something about 50-55. That all.
It not too hot, but it depends on model and its construction.
