- Dangerous Li-Ion laptop battery recall

FOUR MILLION Li-Ion latop batteries have been
recalled by Dell after instances of some
bursting into flames. The batteries are
made by Sony.
Lithium-Ion batteries are of course the
batteries that John Bunt of Surfbaud.co.uk
recommends taking apart, bodging, drilling
holes in and using sticky tape to put back
together.
"The potential for such batteries to catch
fire has been acknowledged for years and
has prompted more limited recalls in the
past. But a number of recent fires involving
notebook computers, some aboard planes,
have brought renewed scrutiny."
