Dell 3200 Parts *needed*
Posted by DW on October 18th, 2003

I have a Dell inspirion 3200 (13" LCD) and the screen stopped working.

First it started to flicker a little, lines across the screen then when I
closed the screen it never turned on again. When I plug in an External
monitor it works fine.

I puller the laptop fully down and there appear to be 4 things that could be
causing this.
1) the LCD itself.
2) The little circuit behind the LCD.
3) a small card rising off the motherboard leading to the screen.
4) the wires from the small card to the screen.

Does anyone have any idea which of these would most likely have died?

Does anyone have PARTS for this model laptop? I am willing to pay postage to
get it to me where ever you are...

Regards,
Dale

I don't have parts, but you might try looking for similar machines as
donors. I have a 3200 and it is virtually identical with my Digital HiNote.
I know it also shares components with an HP model. Do a search on
google.com or on ebay.com for TS30H. That's the common model number for the
I-3200 and the Digital and I think the HPOmnibook. My I3200 had an Omnibook
battery in it when I bought it.

Hope this helps!
