Hi

On my Inspiron 8200, I have the Actiontec MD56ORD V92 MDC modem (probably
like all other I8200 owners).

I have some problems dialing since about a month (I don't use the modem
every day so I can't tell for sure). The problem I have is that I hear the
modem dialing but it seems to skip digits! I have tried at four different
places (4 different cities) with different cables each time.

My laptop is running XP Pro. I have tried removing the modem from the device
manager. I have installed the latest patch for the modem (R50360) from the
Dell site. The diagnostics seems OK.

Any ideas?
