My laptop at work is a Dell Inspiron 4000. It's OK considering I didn't
pay for it, but the battery won't stay in the compartment when the laptop is
handled. For example, if I have it running but suspended and pick it up to
move it to another location across the room the battery will invariably fall
out of the slot. It's like the "latch" doesn't catch to hold it in place.
Is there a DIY fix for this so I don't have to send it back to Dell for
repair and be w/o a computer while it's away?
