Might try and see if Dell Support has an answer for me on this one as
well but I thought I'd try here as well.

My work computer is a Dell Latitude C640 and I currently have about
three power supplies scattered around the house for it that I plug
into at various times.

I just bought my wife a Dell Inspiron 1100 -- the power brick is
almost identical: same size, same plug from the brick to the
computer, etc. However, when I looked at the output settings of the
power brick they are slightly different.

Will it be OK if she uses any of the power bricks for the Latitude?
Since they use the same plug I can see it being difficult to tell the
two apart -- even if we try to keep the two separate it's quite
probably that one of us would plug into the wrong power supply at any
given time. What kinds of issues would there be if this were to
happen? Is either computer at risk if the wrong one is used?
