- Difference in IBM's T and R notebooks?
- Posted by oryx on August 3rd, 2003
I am interested in buying an IBM notebook with the newer Pentium M
processor, but I am confused by the several different product lines put out
by IBM. I originally went to the IBM website to configure a T40, but found
the higher resolution 15 inch screen on the R40 to be more to my liking.
The T series also seems to be more expensive than the R.
Is there a difference in quality or support between the "R" and "T" series
notebooks?

T series is lighter and thinner and is generally considered to be the
"flagship model" of IBM. I am not sure about the quality of build
these days since IBM changed their production plants.
