I'd like to buy an dvd-drive for my old laptop dell inspiron 4000. I can
find some at ebay for ~80USD which is quite a lot for a used old 8x dvd-rom.

Some sellers at ebay sell frames for a few bucks and mention that one can
easily insert standard dvd-roms. Is that true ? Where can I buy flat
dvd-roms to insert in these frames ? Any other tricks ?
