Hi:
I have a Fujitsu N3010 notebook with an integrated Broadcom BCM94306
wireless adapter running Windows XP Professional.
Last night the computer froze up, and so I did a hard shut down of the
computer and restarted it. The wireless card was nowhere to be found,
so I did a hardware search, and it was detected, and I was off and
running again...for a while. A few minutes later the same thing
happened again, and I repeated the routine, but the Broadcom adapter
was no longer detected by Windows. I tried rebooting and repeating the
process several times, but to no avail. So I shutdown the computer and
went to sleep for the night. In the morning, I tried it again, and it
was detected, only to have the same situation start up again shortly
thereafter.
Is it possible that the Broadcom chip is simply dead? Does this sound
like a driver communications issue? Or what other issues could it be?
Many thanks in advance!
