Are the Toshiba Notebook drives decent? I was about to purchase the
Hitachi/IBM Travelstar 40gb 5400rpm (8mb cache) but I found that the Toshiba
40gb 5400rpm (16mb cache) is about 20.00 cheaper. Anyone have any
experiences or opinions with these two drives?

The Toshiba hard drives are excellent. IBM/Hitachi has had some
problems in some drive models, but I don't know about the drives that
you are referring to.
