- HD replacement - Toshiba Satellite A35 1592

I need pointers for opening this beast, and an answer to the general
question: Any problem replacing the 40G drive with a larger capacity unit?
Thanks

I don't know how similar the models are internally, but I just found this
sight invaluable for removing the HD from a different Toshiba. My Dell
Inspiron is one screw to remove. This Toshiba is practically a full
disassembly.

The hard drive on almost all of the Toshiba models since 2001 is
accessible via an access panel on the bottom. The A35 is new enough
that it will proably take any size drive up to 137 gigs.

That is a very, very different machine, much older, and it was the last
Toshiba, as far as I know, that did not have an "easy" hard drive access
panel on the bottom. [and yes, replacing the hard drive in the 1700
series (a "cheap" machine made for Toshiba by Compal) was a real bitch.
For the A35, there is probably a single-screw access panel on the bottom.
