- Hibernate doesnt work on Omnibook 6100 Win2K

I get message saying to the effect that the com port driver wont let the
system hibernate. I try to disable the com port first thru windows then via
bios. Then I get teh same message this time telling me the IRDA port wont
let the system shutdown. This progresses thru all the drivers. Anyboday
have a similar situation? Any remedies?
HP Omnibook 6100
P3 1.13GHz. 256MB ram 40GB hd
Win2K SP3

I have a Toshiba Portege 7140 that works well with Hibernate (Toshiba
utilities) except when I use the docking station, then it locks up. The dock
has software loaded for it so it might be more than hardware.
