- HP 9005US 17" Laptop not booting up
- Posted by Protagonist on June 7th, 2008
My HP 9005US 17" Laptop not booting up any more, unless it sits for a few
hours.
6 months ago the wireless modem quit working.
Re-installed the operating system (with great difficulty), still the same
problem.
Either it cycling, trying to boot up or seem it booting up, but no video!
Is this a video, mother board problem?
From forum:
Video card on mother board has gone bad due to overheating. It is a known
issue and HP has extended all warrantys on dv9000 series (and some others)
by an additional one year for this problem.
You have to send it back to HP and they will replace the mother board for
you.
