HP Omnibook XE3-GC - anyone tried going above 256 MB?
Posted by _____ on May 16th, 2004

I bought this a few days ago, second hand, very cheap.
Problem is, it's maxed out at 256 MB.
Yes, I do now that 256 MB is the official memory limit.
Anyone tried above this (like using 256+64, 256+256, 512,
....) ?

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, you seem to be more more lucky than me,
please compare

(watch for wordwrap, link may appear broken)
The specs for the GC model specify 256 MB as the maximum
possible memory allowed. Sigh.
I was interested in knowing if someone had tried to go above
this with this specific model, failed (99.9% certain on
this) and just telling me to stop daydreaming.
I'll probably have to live with it.
