I have a chembook 2050 (sold under many different names) and I placed
a dual boot of redhat and win2k, works great.

I did end up with the centrino setup (Pentium M processor, 855 chipset
and intergratd wireless) on mine and the intergrated wireless was the
only thing lacking linux support. Intel is not planning on releasing
drivers for linux for the wireless but everything else works great.

If you want preinstalled try tuxtops.com (it will redirect you to the
new site). They sell laptops preinstalled with any distribution of
linux you choose but they do cost a little more.

Good Luck, Carla

I run Linux Mandrake 9.1 on a Sony Vaio PCG-FRV27. Works well. The only
thing that does not work is the Firewire port. There my be drives for it but
I do not use it.
